The relative humidity is between 58% -62%
Due to its gel-like consistency, Boveda dries out very slowly. When Boveda is no longer gel-like but becomes hard, it has been used up and needs to be renewed.

The shelf life is strongly influenced by the size of the storage box / humidor, the amount of tobacco to be freshly aged and the ambient humidity and temperature. Depending on the location, the shelf life is from a few weeks to almost a year.
