CBD cuttings

The CBD cuttings are so-called “clones” (copies) of selected and specially grown mother plants. The mother plants are kept in special rooms and spend 18 hours under cold light so that the plant is constantly in the growth phase, further shoots develop and no flowers form. The benefits of growing your own cannabis plants with the CBD cuttings, which are available from us in the CBD shop, are obvious. On the one hand, the entire germination phase of the hemp seeds can be bypassed, which shortens the cultivation time by about a month. On the other hand, cloning takes over the genetics of the mother plant, which is particularly important in the area of ​​legal CBD hemp. With a variety of grows and the “blooming” of potential genetics, the producers ensure that at the end of the development process they have highly potent mother plants with a THC level below 1%.

How are CBD cuttings made?

When producing CBD cuttings, individual plant shoots are cut off below a pair of leaves from the mother plant. It is best to make the cut with a scalpel or sharp knife so that the cuttings are not injured. If the shoot of the CBD mother plant is injured during cutting, it can either be that the rooting process is slowed down a lot or that the cutting does not take root at all. In addition, it should be noted that the cut is not made at a 90 ° angle, but at an approximate 60 ° angle (see picture).

Immediately afterwards, the CBD cuttings must be kept in water until further processing. As soon as the desired amount of CBD cuttings has been cut, the cut off shoot is treated with a special root hormone, which enormously promotes the root formation process and helps the plant to survive the critical phase of rooting. In a final step, the CBD cuttings are placed in a growing medium (e.g. Jiffys, peat pots or rock wool) and then stored in a greenhouse with very high humidity (> 70%). We recommend blue fluorescent tubes (6000 ° K) for the cuttings greenhouses, which light up 18 hours a day. After about two weeks, the cuttings should be rooted. We guarantee that we will only send the CBD cuttings we have bought in our shop when the roots emerge from the cultivation medium and are ready for further processing!
